Rony and Leah is an Indian father daughter music duo based in Cochin featuring Rony Philip and Leah Anne Philip, both playback and multilingual singers prominent in the entertainment industry with their live performance and studio sessions.
They sing across different genres and languages featuring originals and covers in English, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Malayalam, French, Spanish and Korean. Their first song together was a newer version of the classic song, Mary Did You Know which marked them as a successful duo.
Having performed at many prestigious venues across the country the duo is famous for their renditions of originals and cover songs. Recently the duo launched a successful Human Rights Campaign with the support of National Human Rights Mission towards the protection of human rights with the music album, ‘OPEN YOUR EYES’
The Team
One of the founder members of the rock band Wrenz, Rony along with the band were winners of the most prestigious professional rock music competition ‘Crossroads’ at SRCC in Delhi. Rony was the leader of the M G University western music team that won first at the Nationals twice held at Benares Hindu University, Varanasi and Nagpur University, Nagpur.
Jeevitham Maayapambaram from the movie Ithihasa, Ormakal for the Honeybee movies series, Dhinam Dhinam from Masterpiece with legendary actor Mammootty and the latest being the theme song for the complete actor, Mohanlal’s Alone are few of the hits delivered in the industry.
Leah Anne Philip started singing jingles at the age of five and for movies as a playback singer at the age of seven along with commercials and media projects. She has sung for Malayalam movies Ben, 2 Penkuttikal, Luca and has sung for a Tamil movie up for release.
Her first original song ‘Lucky Star’ was released when she was 10 years old. She is also one of the youngest Indian artists to be featured by Music Crowns, the artist management company based in UK. She has composed and sung her new single ‘Never Enough’ now being played by radio stations worldwide.
